{"id":50,"date":"2018-02-13T12:38:57","date_gmt":"2018-02-13T11:38:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dalla-santa.eu\/captain\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2020-06-10T15:09:34","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T13:09:34","slug":"accueil","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/chateautoursaintfort.com\/en\/","title":{"rendered":"Tour Saint-Fort: a new lease of life"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">Tour Saint-Fort: a new lease of life<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Throughout its history, Ch\u00e2teau Tour Saint-Fort has been a witness to events in the Bordeaux wine industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Many similar \u2018small\u2019 chateaux have fallen by the wayside over the centuries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A series of vineyard crises struck the industry, particularly between 1850 and 1900, including the onset of powdery and downy mildew and phylloxera, but also recessions, which took their toll on many properties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This explains why, in the course of its history, Ch\u00e2teau Tour Saint-Fort has had a variety of names, from Maison Cazaux, Ch\u00e2teau Pineau and Cru Tour Pineau to its present-day Tour Saint-Fort.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The land, the vineyards and a few vestiges form the link between its different owners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The former vat house can still be seen on the first floor. It was probably built at the end of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century though the gable forming the central span has been levelled.
